Reservations must be received by La Fonda Hotel no later than 12 p.m., December 20, 2003 in order to get the discounted conference rate.

January 20-24, 2003 - Open Forum convenes (Monday through Friday). Each day is optional; you may register for any or all days.

The historic La Fonda Hotel is the site for the Open Forum on Metadata Registries. To maximize opportunities for sharing information, informal discussions, and networking, participants are encouraged to stay at the hotel.

There will be free access to the Internet via wireless (802.11b) in the La Fonda meeting rooms, lobby, and mezzanine as well as an Ethernet hub (hardwire Ethernet cable with RJ-45 jacks) available in an Internet access room.

The La Fonda Hotel is holding a block of rooms for the Open Forum & SC 32 meetings. Call La Fonda reservations directly at 1-800-523-5002 or 1-505-982-5511 from outside the U.S. and be sure to ask for the discounted "Open Forum & SC 32" conference rate of $99 for single or double occupancy rooms. Reservations can be made over the Internet by clicking HERE. Be sure to request the conference rate in your reservation.

Cost:

A conference fee will be charged. The fee covers breakfast and lunch during the Open Forum, a reception Tuesday evening, and covers other costs of holding the Open Forum (audio, video, computers, networks, registration, on-site assistance, etc.). Each presentation room will be equipped with a computer, appropriate software, and a high-speed internet connection.

Payment is arranged during the registration process. If you want to register, but cannot provide funds immediately, then select the “FAX/Mail Registration” and follow the corresponding instructions for payment information when funds become available. This will immediately register your intended participation, but your registration is not complete until payment is received.

The early registration fee is $190 per day or $795 for the full week. Registration and payment must be received by December 7, and payment received by December 14, 2003 for early (discounted) registration. After December 7, 2003 the full fee will be charged: $210 per day or $895 for the week. A cancellation refund, less a 15% processing fee, will be provided if a written request is received by December 24, 2003.
