ISO/IEC 19763, Information Technology -- Metamodel Framework for Interoperability (MFI)

The 19763 standard is a multipart standard that includes the following parts:

· Part 2: Core model (merged with basic mapping from part 4 to become Part 10)

This part of ISO/IEC 19763 describes the concepts and an overall architecture of the metamodel framework standard to be applied in the development and the registration of the following individual metamodel frameworks.

This part of ISO/IEC 19763 provides a normative metamodel for describing differences regarding formats and types of objects to be exchanged or shared. This metamodel framework also provides a capability for describing transformation rules between different objects in term of a metamodel instance.

This part provides a common base to all the other parts of ISO/IEC 19763 as an International Standard. The metamodel specified by this part consists of the metamodel for registering models and the metamodel for basic mappings, which are inherited by all the other parts of ISO/IEC 19763.
